The final task for my groupmates and I, Lucas Alves and Daniel Arroyo. I hope you enjoy our film.

Reshoot Blog

We all decided that we could review the video one final time. We decided it was more convenient for us to do it over the phone than actually in person. Which it completely was. During the call, we were all to point out some good things. But we also we able to point on some some things that we wanted to change. So we set up a date and time to meet up in person and give the film some more linear progression and make it more simple. So we all met up at Lucas' house again, but I came a little late because I had something to do. While I wasn't there Lucas and Daniel had already started to do some work. They were able to decide which camera angles and shots we were going to implement. They were working on the first shot right when I was able to make it. The only issue while doing this shot was the location from which Daniel was recording. He wasn't able to hear what Lucas was saying during it. So he had to adjust to be able to pick up Lucas' voice. After we figured that out

Peer Review Blog: From outside person

Now my group and I have finished all the recordings needed for the video. And we've completed all the editing and little changes needed for the video. On our end, we are confident with the outcome. But now we need an opinion from another source. An opinion from another source would be beneficial to the improvement of our video. Mainly because it's another pair of eyes that can see things that we should add or maybe some things that we lack. As well as things that we don't do well and things that we do well. I decided to first ask my friend Josh if he could peer review our video. But he declined so I wasn't sure who to ask. I was considering asking my brother but he was busy with work. Then I chose to ask my mom. She was reluctant at first but after I made her understand why I needed her she agreed to peer review the video. The first time she watched the video she didn't really have anything specific to say. All she told me was that it was interesting and that we di

Production Blog: Final Part

We have now entered the final part of editing. We've finished the main portion. I'm confident in the work we've done so far. The process was actually pretty simple. It was a lot easier than expected. I had no complaints throughout the whole thing. Not sure about the other guys though. But I'm sure that would say something similar. Expect I think there was an audio issue. But it was just on Daniel's end. Apparently, when he tried to mix audio with dialogue there were some difficulties. The combination wasn't right. And when the problem was managed it didn't seem to get any better. Because of this, we had to make an unexpected decision. We decided to just leave it in the background music. I'm glad we were able to stay calm. We overcame the issue and didn't let it hinder us from completing our duty. I'm also proud of our growth. Not only in the film but as a group together. The ups and downs taught us valuable lessons that we may have otherwise not

Editing process in film

This part was a pain. I knew going into it that it would be something annoying. But I didn't think it we be this annoying. And also pretty long. We decided to divide the work among the group. So this way we wouldn't be as burned out or annoyed while editing. Daniel suggested working on Adobe Premiere Pro but we decided on CapCut. Mainly because it's easy to work on. It also has many features and gets frequent updates. Files can also be easily shared with others and other platforms. With adobe you also have to pay. And CapCut is free. This is great for the group to work together. This would be more beneficial to us. Easier for us to brainstorm. As well as bringing things into the film while editing. As far as how we will edit in unknown. Maybe we will edit one at a time. Maybe we will edit all together at the same time. Nonetheless, we will figure out what's best.
